Mercedes Cruz-Ruiz is a passionate CHW and CHW Instructor. She has Served the community for 28 years in the field of government funded programs. As a Community Health Educator for the past 13 years and have taught over 1700 health education workshops. State teaching approvals in various CHW training institutes in Tarrant and Harris counties. Planned, coordinated and participated in hundredths of events and campaigns such as the GO Red for Woman and implemented the childhood obesity initiative Activate Kids. She is the Owner of Healthy Bridge 4 You and has been awarded many awards over the years such as Aetna Healthcare Equity Champion 2013 and Macy’s Life Style change Award 2018.
